At Barzan Family Dental we focus on you as a unique and significant individual. We strive to provide a patient friendly practice and a devotion to comprehensive oral healthcare for the whole family. We are a boutique practice, with one dentist, and a tight knit staff that promotes continuity in the care of your oral health. Our belief is in a dental home, an ongoing relationship between the dentist and the patient to provide comprehensive, continuously accessible, family-centered, coordinated and compassionate care for all our patients. Dentistry has made great advances in technology enabling us to provide you a happy and healthy smile.
Anthony
Dr. Anthony Paul Barzan has been in practice since 2011 with an emphasis on natural tooth preservation and oral health. Through a conservative approach, he aims to make every patient look and feel confident in their smile. He has experience in cosmetic, preventative, restorative, and emergency dentistry.
Dr. Barzan took over his late father’s practice and carries on the tradition of compassionate dentistry. Born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Dr. Barzan received his dental degree from McGill University and completed his undergraduate degree at Western.
In his free time, Dr. Barzan loves to curl, spend time with his wife, son and dog at camp. He is a big sports fan! GO HOUNDS GO!
Denyse
Denyse is a Certified Dental Assistant with over 20 years experience within the Barzan Family Dental practice.
Patient comfort is her top priority. Seeing nervous patients relax and feel comfortable during their dental appointment is what her job is all about.
Away from the office, Denyse enjoys singing, baking and most of all spending time with her daughter, Hannah.
Raquel
Raquel has over 20 years experience as a registered dental hygienist. She graduated from Georgian College in 1995, with further education at the University of British Columbia.
After working in Vancouver for almost 9 years, she returned to the Sault in 2003 to work for Dr. Barzan Sr.. Raquel loves being a Dental Hygienist who prides herself in excellent professional care. She has a special background training and work experience in periodontics.
In her spare time, Raquel enjoys travelling, participating in many sports and spending time with her husband Bob.
Candice
Candice graduated from Ferris State University with an Associate in Applied Science in Dental Hygiene in 2008. Starting with Dr. Barzan Sr. in 2009, she has been committed to providing excellent care and education to her patients.
Candice focuses on making the dental hygiene appointment a comfortable and enjoyable one.
Away from work, Candice enjoys being outdoors gardening, entertaining friends and travelling with her husband Jeff, and their son Cole.
Betty Jo
Betty Jo will be one of the first voices that will greet you when you contact the office. Her smile and laugh are always warming the environment.
She has been lucky enough to be around for 3 generations of dentists and 4 generations of families. Many of the patients remark that they have never been to a dental appointment without her being at the front desk.
She will take care of your billing, appointment and insurance needs.
Goldie
Goldie arrived in the Soo with Anthony in 2011 from Montreal. Prior to moving here, she worked in wealth management and her studies include a joint specialization in English Literature and History (BA).
Goldie manages the patients, staff and finances at the office to ensure everything runs smoothly.
In her free time, she enjoys reading, browsing home decor blogs, and trying new restaurants with her husband and son.
